will chewing gum a day before a race hurt my running performance?
its not sugarless..
do you think it would upset my stomach or in any way hurt me for running the mile in a state meet that i’m aiming to improve my time even more in?

no definatly not. i never qualified for states in track, but i did in cross country this past year, and i need gum DURING the race. i usually have quench gum, its specially for athletes, it helps so much. and i always have gum b4 the meet so its completely fine.
