What is the difference between 70-300mm f5.6 and 70-200mm f2.8 digital camera lens?
I have a 18-200mm 5.6 nikon digital camera lens.
Do you think an extra 100mm would be worth upgrading to the 70-300mm? Is this the most powerful telephoto handheld you can get?
If I get a 70-200mm 2.8 would i not be able to zoom as far away? Im trying to decide which one I need for zooming in at the zoo and wildlife and sporting events
You need the faster lens for shooting wildlife and sporting events. The 70-300 is definitely the right size, but it’s way too slow unless you’re shooting in the middle of the day. Stick with the 70-200. The extra 2 stops will do more for your pictures than the 300mm lens will.
