When you use a heavy bag, I need to wrap my hands, or gloves are sufficient?
I just bought a bag of 70 pounds heavier (I'm 6'1 "300 lbs). I had some martial arts training, but they never cashed. I've always gone to bare hands, one hand held various pads (up to a full body pad) but I think a heavy bag is a totally different animal. I also bought a pair of brand Century "leather gloves wrap the guy who told me at the Academy should be sufficient to protect my hands. However, most people in retail establishments are poorly trained and do not know much about their products. Is it necessary for me to wrap my hands?
Wrap your hands, then put the gloves. The guy at the store just trying to sell you the gloves.
